Dunn-Sanders served as a decision participant under the Long Beach Innovation Team(i-team), Safe Long Beach Communities Committee and Graduate of the Neighborhood Leadership Program Alumni 2014. Previously, she also volunteered at community projects to enhance the appearance of blighted areas, cleanliness and community safety while advocating for the community of Domestic Violence for over 17 years. During her college term in 1998 "Stopping Pressure On Teens" was a graded assignment where the vision still stand the same.
